Ecoalf Juniper Polo Caramelo
There are brands that arrive in a hurry and brands that arrive with a purpose. Ecoalf arrived with a name written at home: eco + Alfredo and Alfonso, the two sons of Javier Goyeneche, who founded the brand in Madrid in 2009 thinking exactly about that: what he was going to leave them.
What he left is one of those names that bend the rules of the game a little. An Ecoalf jacket can be made from plastic bottles rescued from the Mediterranean. A sneaker, from abandoned fishing nets that a fisherman brought back to land. A sweatshirt, from coffee grounds that one morning smelled like breakfast. It is not marketing: it is good chemistry done in Madrid, with more than 60 recycled fabrics the brand has developed season after season.
But at SUNE we did not choose her for that. We chose her because she meets the same things we ask of the brands we love most: that you actually want to wear it, that it lasts, that it has a soul. The puffer you grab for the AVE in January. The sneakers for walking Barcelona in May. The recycled cotton sweatshirt for slow Sundays at home.
And if it turns out that every garment carries a previous story and leaves a smaller footprint, even better. Be Sune, be happy.
